We've evaluated several options over the years, from travel-friendly swings to traditional baby swings. While a baby swing isn't intended for your baby's sleep time, it can be a helpful tool to entertain or soothe a fussy baby. It also gives parents a much-needed break from holding their baby. When testing and comparing the competition, we considered various factors, like assembly, portability, quality, entertainment, and more. Our findings can help you decide which swing suits your baby's needs and your goals.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a warning about some Fisher-Price infant rockers and other similar gear with more than a 10-degree incline, including swings, bouncers, and rockers. They warn against letting little ones sleep in the gear and remind parents that babies should always be monitored when using the equipment. Babies should be appropriately restrained according to manufacturer guidelines, and no bedding should be used with the devices. Should your baby fall asleep in a swing, bouncer, or rocker, they should be immediately moved to a firm flat surface, such as a crib, bassinet, or play yard.
